What's in a name? Apparently a lot when you're in the social media biz. We have recently been spending much of our time and effort on promoting our YouTube channel. Our goal is to find 1000 subscribers by the end of 2022. In my opinion, I believe thats realistic.

We've been promoting lately so we could get just 100 subscribers. Why 100 you ask? Well so we could put our name in the YouTube address. Which is what's above - in the title. Our YouTube channel is a good bit like this blog, except all you have to do is watch. No reading involved.

We have 20 videos on the site ranging from five minutes to 25 minutes. So it's not a big commitment either and hopefully we show you new fun places and make you laugh.

So why do a YouTube Channel and why 1000 subscribers. The answer to that one is pretty simple. When a channel reaches 1000 subscribers, it becomes monetized. You know all those ad's you see on YouTube? Well YouTube puts them on there and they get a piece of the action. BUT, unless you have at least 1000 subscribers, your site will show the ad's but you don't see a dime...

So, this YouTube channel is our escape plan - i.e. retirement plan. Who wants to work at Walmart when they can travel around the country and get paid to do it - right? I have four years till I can call it quits and I'd like to have everything in place when I do that. Fortunately, I have four amazing years to get this thing rolling!

It's costs you nothing, and if you have your settings correct, you won't even get a ding (unless you want to) when we post our next video. It might seem like a really small thing for you, but it will be part of a much, very much, larger thing for us.
